Our first attempt at “in-the-box” product protection/void fill was with Fromm Packaging Systems “Airpad”. We have been promoting it for six plus years, it has been a remarkable product line for us and offers many unique packaging options. It often times replaces more traditional void fillers like peanuts, foam, bubble wrap and paper….. You can change pillow size with the touch of a button and use various film thicknesses to adapt to your needs…..some will even withstand a several hundred pound man jumping up and down on them….(pics/video coming soon). The Fromm Airpad equipment is very robust and is optimized in a high volume situation….which means it may not be the answer for everyone. But, if you have a challenging package, are looking for cost savings, and want to use a curbside recyclable product Fromm Airpad is a great choice!
Well, 2010 is off and running and things are on the move…..word from our sales force indicates an up-tick in several of our customer segments. Dismal attitudes have been replaced in large part by positive optimism. Thank heavens!
